Application Eligibility

He or she has graduated and holds a Bachelor’s degree (or a Master’s degree), or is considered by the admissions committee to have an acceptable intellectual competence at the level of someone holding an equivalent or higher degree.

  • Master’s Program - no restrictions in undergraduate major (* Those who have not majored in Education or have not completed the Teacher Training Program must take 9 credit hours of courses in the Department of Education)
  • Doctoral Program - recomended(not required) to have minimum 3 years of experience in this subject area (*those who have not majored in Education or have not completed the Teacher Training Program must take 9 credit hours of courses in the Department of Education)

  • Entrance Examination : Questions are selected from global education development cooperation studies. Applicant may select English or Korean Language examination.
  • Possible Topics : globalization of Korean education development experience, international education development agenda, education and gender equality, local community development and education, literacy and society, etc.
  • ※ Must earn at least 60% in each criteria
  • ※ The highest sum of scores in each criteria will determine acceptance and selection into the program
  • ※ Date, time, and place will be announced (See GEC Homepage for up-to-date information) Admission criteria are subject to change. Please refer to the latest spring/fall admission requirements.
